Printing and Pricing

All images on this site are available for purchase as Custom Giclee Prints, and are printed on Epson Premium Luster paper. The images are sold unmatted and unframed. Since images are custom printed upon order, allow up to two weeks delivery time.

All camera formats do not fit these standard dimension print sizes. Rather than cropping the image to fit the paper, the image size will differ depending upon the camera format, and its height to length ratio. For instance a 35 MM camera has a ratio of 1 to 1.5, whereas a large format 4 X 5 camera has a ratio of 1 to 1.25. I will also leave a border for matting purposes, unless otherwise requested. The following chart indicates the image size versus the print size with a border of 1” in one dimension. The print will then be centered in the paper, leaving ½” to either edge. The other edge dimension will vary depending upon the camera format.

Giclee Printing

A "giclee print" is generated from a high-resolution digital image, and printed with archival quality inks onto various substrates including canvas, fine art, and photo-base paper. Giclee prints are created using professional 8-Color to 12-Color ink-jet printers. Among the manufacturers of these printers are Epson, MacDermid Colorspan, & Hewlett-Packard. These high-end printers are used for producing detailed prints for both the fine art and photographic markets.

The giclee printing process provides excellent color reproductions, and combined with the Epson Premium Luster paper is extremely archival when stored or displayed properly. Because of variations in computer monitors the color, value and density may differ from the on-screen image to the final reproduction. However your satisfaction is guaranteed, and rest assured that these images have all been custom managed for color and tonal range.

• To increase the life of a print they should be framed behind UV glass or UV plexiglass, and put on display out of direct sunlight. The three contributing factors to image fading are light, humidity and heat. The quality of the giclee print rivals traditional silver-halide and gelatin printing processes and is commonly found in museums, art galleries, and photographic galleries. Numerous examples of giclee prints can be found in New York City at the Metropolitan Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Chelsea Galleries.

We will replace it or refund your payment. Shipping charges will not be refunded. Returned items shipped COD or "shipping charges collect" will not be accepted. Returned products must be in absolutely new and unused condition for refund.
